How to care for banana plant succulent


You may already be familiar with its more common relatives, string of pearls and string of bananas, but string of dolphins has a unique look all its own. Sometimes also called dolphin necklace, I find it to be the most intriguing member of this unique group of succulent plants. The most common are: bananas, fish hooks, pearls , tears sometimes also called watermelons , and dolphins. All of them are adorable, but if I had to choose a favorite, it would be string of dolphins Curio x peregrinus.

The String of Hooks is an incredibly easy plant to maintain and grows very quickly. It makes an excellent hanging plant or spilling from a pot on a shelf. The unique blueish green colour compels it to stand out amongst other plants. The String of Fish Hooks has been cultivated as an indoor hanging plant. However, in its natural habitat originating in South Africa it vigorously creeps along the ground forming a vine as it goes. Strands will grow to the floor if left.
