The genus Hydrangea includes about seventies species of flowering woody and shrubby plants, native to the South of the world and Asian Far East China, Himalaya, Japan Korea and Indonesia. The hydrangea flowers grow, at the extreme of the stems, gathered in corymbs or panicles, in spherical or umbrella shape. In many species the corymbs have two types of inflorescences: small fertile flowers in the middle of the head surrounded by large sterile sepals, bract petal-shaped flowers.

Other species show, on the contrary, all sterile flowers in the same size. They generally are rustic plants which tolerate the cold ; in temperate climate the leaves are usually deciduous, but there are some of them which are evergreen. To plant hydrangeas in the right position can make the difference between a luxuriant growth, plentifully flowered, or to obtain a shrub which struggles to survive and produces stunted blooms.

Hydrangea shrubs reach the height of 1 up to 4 meters; some species are saplings, while others are climbers or lianas, and when they cling to the trees, they can reach up to 30 meters in height.

Just like grandma used to grow

A grandmother and her grandson share a love for gardening. They explore different plants including fruits, vegetables, and medicinal herbs. They also examine the bugs that come with gardening life including both good and bad bugs. One of grandma's favorite plants is cannabis. She uses the plant both for healing and for relaxation.

She explains to the little boy that he can look but not touch and that he will have to wait for adulthood to get baked with Grandma". Susan Soares, a California-based cannabis activist, aims to answer that question in a book written to help parents and children talk about cannabis. Not so long ago, Soares was anti-cannabis and an active Mormon leader. That was until an injury sustained playing broom hockey led to a concussion and a ruptured eardrum. In the two years that followed, she suffered extreme pain and stress as a result of the accident, to the point of experiencing suicidal thoughts. And it did. Unfortunately her community, family and church rejected her treatment—and Soares herself. Undaunted, she moved away, became a liberal democrat and continued her advocacy work. Memories of Grandma’s garden

Nature has awakened and everything is in bloom, pulsating with life. Her granddaughter, Cottonball, is working in a tall building, far from the beautiful nature. Enter Tosheepa Corporation and proceed to the top floor where Cottonball works. Hurry up, Diggy, We still have a chance to catch the bus that stops right in front of the Garden of Spring. It leaves at 9 AM from the corporation building.

He enjoys an eclectic range of activities and interests, particularly baking and developing new and less usual cake recipes — such as Brussels Sprout and Avocado Cake, gardening, restoring pre-war domestic electrical appliances to working order, walking and running.

The two are forever intertwined. Just a few weeks before she died, I was exploring and experiencing great challenges in the Grand Canyon, one of her favorite places in the world, focusing on every single bloom I saw to get me through. She was on my mind the entire expedition, knowing intimately well that her life on this earth was coming to an end. Even though spring was all around me, my heart felt like late fall. It was in those last weeks of her life she reminded me, yet again, the importance of this present-minded living - that our time is best spent learning, loving and living in full bloom, lessons taught from the garden.

My Grandmothers Garden By The Garden

My husband and I just returned from a ten day vacation in Virginia. The weather was perfect the whole time we traveled; spring was emerging and everywhere we visited the surroundings were bursting with color. Since we both love American history almost as much as we love gardening, both Monticello and Colonial Williamsburg made it to our list of places to see. Truly heaven on earth for two passionate gardeners.

By Ashley Meyer. For 90 years the Springfield Civic Garden Club has been helping to beautify neighborhoods across the community. The vast majority of plants on offer at the sale come from yards and gardens of local club members and gardeners. Prolific varieties of many popular garden plants can eventually become overcrowded and need to be divided in order for them to grow and bloom properly.

Gardeners in the Buffalo and Western New York area have more plants to choose from than they did just a decade or two ago. The plants are genetically better, too. This is one of the big trends Ron Heimiller has seen in his career as president and head grower at Heimiller Greenhouses in Newfane.
