Beautiful Botanical Gardens in Western Pennsylvania

We had the pleasure of visiting two Botanical Gardens in Western Pennsylvania. They have beautiful grounds and walking trails, gorgeous flowers, and a gift shop. All the stores have beautiful items.

The first is the Meadows Botanical Gardens in Uniontown, PA. There are many gardens, both large and small. One that I particularly enjoyed is the Rose Garden.

The Rose Garden is a place to have an intimate, peaceful time. The fragrance of the roses is intense. I couldn't smell any of the other flowers, but the roses overwhelmed me. The variety of roses is amazing. The setting is quite lovely, and I could imagine spending many hours there with my special someone.

Another garden is the Camellia Garden. Some people complain about their fire ants, but I'm sure that if the area were mowed every day, the problem would not be as severe. The gardens are especially beautiful in the spring. You can smell the sweet scent of the Camellias as you drive along the road, and you will enjoy the tranquility of the places where the flowers are in bloom. I didn't get pictures, because it was a little dark.

I loved the gifts available. The locket is a work of art. I would be proud to wear it around my neck.

You can enjoy the gardens, even when you are not there, with the slide show that is available on the internet. You can see the Gardens even when you are not in the area. It is a website. It takes a bit of time to load, but worth the wait.

A good friend suggested that we go to the Hobbs Arboretum &, Botanical Gardens in Monroe Township. We took a visit, and I was very pleased. We were lucky to get an incredible weather day for our trip. It was in the low 70's. It was a perfect day to visit the Botanical Gardens.

The site is a 35 acre botanical garden that has 6 trails. The site includes an amphitheater for live music, and a refreshment area. There are many beautiful flowers and trees.

Our main purpose for going to the site was to visit the arboretum. The arboretum is a large collection of woody and coniferous trees. It is an interesting collection, and the price is reasonable.

You will enjoy the peace and tranquility, as you look at the plants. They are very well kept.

There are 5 gardens: Central, Oak Grove, Prehistoric, Ripley-Cavett, and the Arboretum. The arboretum is located in the center of the grounds.

If you have never been to a Botanical Garden before, you will enjoy the site. It is a great place for a short trip, or a day-trip. You will find that you will have a few moments when the place just takes your breath away, and will bring a smile to your face.

Wildflower Perennial Bulbs

Every spring, when the temperatures begin to warm, the bees, butterflies, birds, and pollinators start visiting flowers, hoping to gather as much pollen as possible. Many flowering perennials are bee-friendly. They are essential for pollinators, because the vast majority of these plants depend on bees to produce seeds and seedlings. In order to attract pollinators, most of these plants have nectar that will nourish them, and also have an assortment of scents that attract the bees and other pollinators.

Unfortunately, not all plants provide the pollen needed for seed formation
